After a peel it is normal for you to experience:

• Sensitivity to the touch
• Tightness
• Dryness
• Redness
• Peeling
• Tingling and hot sensation

Please ensure you follow all of the aftercare for your treatment to ensure the best treatment outcomes for you

• Avoid touching the area too much for 24 hours.
• Allow the skin to peel naturally, do not pick or scratch the treated area.
• Avoid heat treatments, saunas, steam rooms, hooded hairdryers, hot baths and showers for 48 hours.
• Keep the skin hydrated and apply recommended soothing cream or serum as directed.
• Drink lots of water following your treatment.
• Apply SPF daily.  A minimum of SPF 30 physical sunscreen is recommended (avoid too much direct sunlight even with the use of SPF).
• Avoid sunbeds.
• Avoid exercise for 24 hours.
• Avoid heavy makeup for 48 hours (mineral makeup may be worn if application brush is sanitised).
• Use a gentle cleanser for first 48 hours.  Try not to be too rough with the skin and pat dry.
• No chemical exfoliators, AHAS OR BHAS unless directed by your therapist.
• No plucking, clay masks, self-tan or facial procedures for at least 48 hours.
• No waxing for 48 hours before or 1 week after.
• You MUST leave 3 weeks between the following treatments and Medik8 peels, Medical skin needling, Micropigmentation, laser/IPL, Dermal injections inc Botox.
• Avoid using Retinol including Medik8 for 2 days prior and 2 days after the peel.
